The ritual of forming the bread with the hands and the weaving of many strands of dough to braid bread reminds us of the ritual gathering and our interconnected- ness in breaking the challah bread with friends. The unraveling of the form suggest the presence of hands; the hand made in the making of both the sculpture and the bread.
